Botanical Name: Beta vulgaris

An easy-to-slice, long, dark red beetroot which is slow to go woody. The flavour and texture are very good indeed. Beetroot grows well on most well cultivated soils.

How To Grow:
Drop seeds 12mm deep in rows 30cm apart. Keep soil moist. Thin out to 10cm apart when large enough to handle. Sow thinly and repeat every 4-6 weeks for succession.

When To Plant: Late Winter through to Autumn.
Harvest: First harvest should be ready in 10 weeks.
Sow: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter
