Guano is a natural source of phosphate, calcium and trace minerals, however its mostly used to lift soil phosphate levels which encourages strong plant roots and overall growth. The elements in Guano are biologically available meaning they are dissolved and consumed by soil microbes then passed onto plant roots. This natural process insures a balanced and timely delivery of nutrient to plants when needed.

ABOUT GUANO
Yardlands Guano comes from bird droppings and in this case seabird droppings. Sea bird droppings are also littered with fish scraps which adds a fantastic range of trace minerals to the blend. Yardlands Guano is in the form of an easy to spread pellet.
Application Rate:
One handful of Yardlands Guano is approximately 90grams
Trees and Shrubs: Where soil phosphate level is low, apply 90g/sq. m around the base of established plants. Gently fork into the soil surface without disturbing the roots. Alternatively sprinkle the product over the soil surface, around the stem of the plant and water thoroughly.
New plantings: apply 45g/sq. m to the bottom of the planting hole and mix well with the soil or compost when refilling the hole.
