Strawberry clovers small usually pink flower-heads that resemble strawberry fruits which attract birds, butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects to your property, its foliage is also very palatable and nutritious to most grazing animals.

Legume
Like all clovers, strawberry clover is a legume which means it will deliver much-needed nitrogen to a depleted or less fertile soil.

Ground cover / Green manure
The natural shade tolerance of Strawberry clover ensures that it will grow well as a ground cover at the base of fruit trees in orchards and vines in vineyards.
It can also be used as a green manure cover crop to help loosen heavy soils.

Hardy
Strawberry clover is able to handle soils and conditions where other ground clovers struggle. It copes really well with salty and alkaline soils, and is very resistant to flooding. It is a cool season ground cover that is frost hardy and semi drought resistant.
