Meat & Bone is chocka full of protein (48%), this form of extra protein is helpful to hens at times of growth and laying. After a busy spring-summer laying eggs the hens egg production will being slow down (or stop). At this point the hens will begin using protein from their food for re-growing their new feathers to keep warm over the winter. This is the perfect time to boost their protein consumption by adding meat & bone meal to their diet. This will promote a faster return to egg laying.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS:
Adding one heap teaspoon of Meat & Bone Meal (per chicken) to existing diet three times a week will help to regrow feathers at a faster rate than they normally would from just their everyday balanced diet.

Alternatively, place Meat & bone Meal in a separate container (much the same way as you would/do with oyster shell grit) and allow them to feed free choice. Chickens are excellent at sourcing food that they need – some days they will eat more than others.

INGREDIENTS:
This product is produced from pure Bovine raw material. The sterilisation process ensures this product is produced salmonella free. This meat and bone meal is used as an additive in the Pet Food production industry.
