BLACK CHERRY
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
This is a dark cherry tomato from a vigorous plant that will supply you with plenty of small, tasty tomatoes throughout its season. The colour has been described as purple to mahogany brown. It is ideal for salads or to just pop in your mouth as a snack.

 

 

BLACK ETHIOPIAN TOMATO
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
This is a Russian Heirloom tomato from the Ukraine region. Both skin and flesh are a deep red brown to purple in colour and it is bursting with rich, tangy, sweet flavour. It is a small, though bigger than a cherry, plum shape tomato.

 

 

 

COPIA
Determinate. Open Pollinate. Tomato
A large, beefsteak type, golden coloured tomato with a orange/red and green/red striping blended throughout the skin. It has a sweet, juicy flesh with an interesting after taste which is swirled with colour throughout the flesh. An interesting eye catching addition to salads.

 

 

COSTOLUTO FLORENTINO
Indeterminate. Italian Heirloom Tomato
This is an early maturing Italian Beefsteak tomato with a deep red colour, suitable for sauce and slicing for salads and sandwiches. The name Costoluto refers to the slightly flattened and heavily ribbed shape of this tomato.

 

 

DANISH ORANGE
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
A large round orange coloured tomato which can be used for adding colour to salads or in sandwiches. Orange coloured tomatoes are said to have a higher antioxidant punch than other tomatoes and have a higher level of lycopene.

 

 

GREEN SAUSAGE
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
The plant itself is very flimsy and floppy. Do not try to stake it. The plant flops over on itself in a bushy manner and most of the tomatoes form underneath the foliage hence they are not often found by the birds. It is a small plant and the fruit is a stripy green colour that turns a yellowish green when ripe. A good paste tomato.

 

 

ILDI
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
This is a small, yellow plum shaped tomato that grows in huge clusters, it can have up to 80 fruit per truss. It has a lovely sweet flavour.

 

 

 

INDIGO ROSE
Semi-indeterminate (Open Pollinate). Tomato
The skin is of this tomato is turned black by exposure to sunlight hence it is this colour even when it is not ripe. Check for ripeness by feeling the tomato . This is the first improved tomato variety in the world that has the powerful antioxidant anthocyanin in the fruit.

 

 

MATT’S WILD CHERRY TOMATO

A very small cherry/currant, full flavoured Tomato. It is an early producing tomato with the fruit ripening before most other varieties on a vigorous plant.

 

 

 

 

MONEY MAKER
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
This popular tomato dates back to the early 20th century. It is a reliable, hardy tomato with good disease resistance that produces an abundance of medium sized tomatoes. The flavour is average.

 

 

 

MOONGLOW
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
The fruit of this tomato is medium to large with an orange coloured skin and tasty orange flesh. It has been tested as having a high level of tetra-cis-lycopene, an antioxidant.

 

 

 

PAUL ROBESON
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
This brick red, beefsteak type tomato was named to honour the opera singer and civil rights activist, Paul Robeson. The smooth flesh has a sweet, slightly tangy, smokey flavour. It is a vigourous, productive tomato.

 

 

POTENTATE
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
Potentate is an early blossoming, old English heritage tomato. It produces good flavoured, medium sized fruit on a large plant.

 

 

 

PRUDEN’S PURPLE|
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
Pruden’s Purple is an uncommon tomato in New Zealand, a beefsteak type. In spite of its name, it is red in colour but it is a bluish red rather than the orange red of most tomatoes. It is a large tomato that can measure as much as 10 cm across.

RUSSIAN RED
Semi-determinate. New Zealand. Open Pollinate Tomato.
An easy to grow, reliable, semi dwarf, disease resistant tomato that produces a good crop of medium sized tomatoes. Average in flavour. A good producer in cooler climates.

 

 

 

SCORESBY DWARF
Determinate, Open Pollinate Tomato
A small tomato plant that does not need staking or removal of laterals. It produces a medium sized, tasty tomato suitable for salads and sandwiches.

 

 

 

SUB ARCTIC
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
This is a compact tomato plant that has been bred to set fruit in colder conditions. It was developed in Canada by Dr. Harris, Beaverlodge Research Station, Alberta for the US Greenland military bases. A heavy cropper that produces a medium to large tomato.

 

 

TIGERELLA
Indeterminate. English Heirloom Tomato
This is a small bicoloured, sweet tomato that matures with red and yellow ‘zebra’ stripes and produces an abundant amount of fruit. It is essentially the same as the Green Zebra Tomato but red in colour and has a sweeter flavour.

 

 

 

TOMMY TOE
Indeterminate. Heirloom Tomato
The sweetest most flavorsome tomatoes in our selection. This hardy tomato plant has a small fruit a little bit bigger than a cherry tomato. It is a very prolific producer that is usually still producing fruit at the end of the season while after other varieties have finished.

 

 

WINDOW BOX RED
Determinate. Dwarf, Open Pollinate Tomato
This tiny, compact, micro dwarf tomato plant is ideal for those who would like to grow tomatoes but don’t have the room. Its small size makes it ideal for growing in a pot or vegepod. It grows to about 25 cm high and produces lots of tiny sweet tomatoes.

 

 

 

YELLOW STUFFER
Indeterminate. Open Pollinate Tomato
This is a yellow bell pepper shaped tomato with firm outer flesh and very little pulp inside making it ideal for making stuffed tomatoes. Cut off the top, scoop out the soft flesh, pile in your favourite filling, pop the top back on if you wish and bake or add as a salad side dish.

Oats produce a large root and foliage mass over the winter which catch loads of soil nutrient that may otherwise be lost over winter. This nutrient is released when oats are dug in early spring.

Traditionally sown as a green manure, lupins also possess bio-fumigant properties. Plant in autumn and dig or work into the soil in late winter/early spring before flowering.
